Study for the Formulation of National Strategy for the Development of Electronic Commerce (e-Commerce) in Cyprus.

As part of the Cyprus Government’s efforts for upgrading the role of Cyprus as an international and regional business and services center, a contract was signed with SchlumbergerSema (in collaboration with the companies Virtual IT Ltd – Cyprus, Carrigues & Andersen - Spain and Andreas Neocleous & Co – Cyprus) to conduct a study for the formulation of a national strategy for the development of electronic commerce in Cyprus.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Panicos Pouros, General Director of the Planning Bureau, representing the Cyprus Government and Mr. Alejandro de Mora, representing SchlumbergerSema.

The study takes into consideration the developments within the European Union and the underlying instructions concentrates on formulating a national strategy, as well as the establishment of the necessary legal framework for the development of electronic commerce in Cyprus.
