The 36 members of the Grant Jury were selected after evaluating over 350 nominations from over 135 countries.  Amongst the Grant Jury eminent experts selected to become a member is Andreas Hadjioannou, Managing Director of Virtual IT.   Seen below in Dubai during the evaluation process.

The World Summit Award for e-Content and Creativity (WSA) will add to the WSIS process and event a focus on e-content and creativity in the information Society.  In addition to the infrastructure issues, questions of access and the challenge to bridge the digital divide already before the WSIS, the WSA will put the focus on the concrete experience of people in terms of creative contents and their richness and diversity.  The World Summit Award (WSA) is a three-year global project strategically active in 191 United Nations’ member states.  The project evaluated consisted of 8 different categories.  The categories were e-Government, e-Business, e-Health, e-Entertainment, e-Inclusion, e-Culture, e-Learning and e-Science.
